Theres been some talk criticizing companies that move overseas to avoid U.S. taxes, and some backlash claiming that these companies are just rebelling against ridiculously high U.S. corporate taxes. Ireland is a popular destination, as are the Netherlands and the U.K. Burger King is jumping ship to Canada. I tell you what. Ill agree that U.S. corporate taxes should be lower, if youll agree that we should adopt those countries individual income, sales, and VAT tax rates and deductions, adopt their health care and public retirement systems, AND that we reduce our military spending per capita to match that of those countries. Deal?
