All contestants must be under the age of 24 months as of September 1st and must be a resident or be the grandchild of a resident of Cass, Clinton, Dewey, Hanna, Prairie or Noble townships. Miss Scarecrow Queen Contest Sponsored by Studio 46390 Our fourth annual Scarecrow Queen contest will be Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Scarecrow Square in the entertainment tent starting at 2 PM. We are now accepting entries, but our pageant only has space for 15 girls so make sure to send your information in as soon as possible. Scarecrow Pageant Rules and Duties: Pageant contestants must be between the ages of 15 and 20 (as of September 1st). Contestants must live in one of the following townships: Cass, Clinton, Dewey, Hanna, Prairie or Noble. If a contestant is not a resident of any of the above mentioned townships but is a student at either South Central High School or LaCrosse High School, they are eligible to participate. Contestants will be judged on: Essay, Hobby Wear, Formal Wear and Impromptu question. (Hobby wear consists of any type of outfit, clothing that expresses your hobbies or interests. For example, sportswear, western wear etc. The winner of the pageant will be crowned Miss Scarecrow Queen 2014 and must be prepared to participate in several events at the festival including but not limited to: Judge talent show, assist the magician during his at, mingle throughout festival Saturday and Sunday, help with merchant drawing Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday night and Sunday afternoon the queen will be introduced to everyone. All contestants will ride in the parade on Saturday morning before the pageant. We will have a float for the Scarecrow pageant contestants. The winner will then be expected to ride in the parade the following year as the Queen. Contestants understand that behavior as the queen is a reflection on herself, her family and her community and she will behave accordingly as a good role model.
