Theres this fairly well-known English author Terry Pratchett, who writes these novels about a make-believe world. They’re quite interesting. Anyhow, I read that this journalist interviewing him asked him, You have an awful lot of various gods in all your novels (he has a whole pantheon of gods), so are you a religious person? And Terry says, No. I am an atheist who is angry at God for not not existing. Huh. I am an atheist. And I am angry. With God. For not not existing. In other words, I want him not to exist, but I’m angry with him because he does exist. Not many people are that honest.
