There’s been a call to extend the breast cancer screening programme to women under 50, after it emerged that 110 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in Kerry last year.The figures were released ahead of the first ever Pink Ribbon Walk to be held in Kerry, which is due to take place in Kenmare on May 18th. The walk raises money every year for breast cancer services in Ireland, as well as further research into the disease.
