There’s news on White House interns. No. This isn’t in reference to Bill Clinton. It’s about the hypocrisy of Barack Obama, who is supposedly “leading the fight” for a higher minimum wage while relying on unpaid interns at the White House. As you may recall Wal-Mart is pulling out of a deal to build several stores in the Washington D.C. area because the local council imposed a living wage law that applied only to Wal-Mart while exempting other retailers that have union shops. Last month, a major movie studio was found liable for violating labor laws by using unpaid interns. Ever since, there has been this new legal “movement.” Lawsuits are springing up all over the country, demanding retroactive payment for interns who agreed to work in unpaid positions. The movement is led by agitators, professional rabble-rousers calling themselves “The Fair Pay Campaign.” They plan to launch a campaign against the intern-exploiting Obama Administration on Labor Day. These new agitators plan to rally the troops to demand Obama pay his unpaid interns. Then they’ll spread the campaign throughout federal government. They’ll keep up the battle in courtrooms, and in the private sector. Ultimately, there will be no unpaid intern positions left in America. The opportunities, and traditional roads for success they provide, will die with them. Then the agitators will move on to their next victims. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2374471/President-Obama-refuses-pay-interns-campaigns-raise-minimum-wage.html
