There’s no denying that downtown Utica is on the upswing. Hockey it a hit. Loft apartments are sprouting. More jobs are coming. The latest giant step forward was the announced sale of the former ConMed Building on Broad Street to a Syracuse-based commercial construction company that plans to invest $4.5 million in revitalizing the building to include 27 apartments, offices and manufacturing space.
