These are adapted versions of English for Today book 9-10, Units 1-3. I plan to continue making more adaptations. When I say adapted I mean that I am taking the original texts and then re-writing them with much easier vocabulary and grammar. The reason is that I think that the biggest obstacle for the majority of language learners around the world (and this includes English language learners (ELLs) in Bangladesh, is that the input (the things they read or listen to) are much too difficult, that is the input is much harder than their output (the things that they can produce by writing or speaking). These adapted versions, by using much easier grammar and vocabulary, aim to lessen the gap between (text and teacher) input and (student) output.
