These are definitely Green Gill Parasol Mushrooms, found in Lafayette, IN today. You can tell by their general size, shape, scaly cap, double-ringed annulus, and the green tint to the gills when mature. They also turn reddish-brown instantly when you cut the stalk. They dont really smell all that good or earthy like other mushrooms can at times. Their spore print when taken should also be a greenish tinted color. WARNING!!! POISONOUS, so dont eat them. They are the #1 cause of mushroom poisoning in North America so I stress again, dont eat them, they can cause a variety of ailments from diarrhea to even death in some cases. Just thought Id share these with everyone to those who didnt know. And thanks for helping me narrow down the ID mushroom group! Happy hunting!
