These are my opinions only and do not represent any thing other than philosophical self-reflections based on my own experiences. Worship is the veneration of another being, such that your energy is being directly accessed by that being. This type of connection may leave you feeling drained, ashamed, and/or unworthy. Prayer is a purposeful intention to connect with the Source. This type of connection replenishes your spiritual sustenance and leaves you feeling more energized, refreshed, and positive than before. Source has no need of anything. Source has no need of worship or prayer. Prayer is useful to humans as a means of remembering where we really come from, a re-edification process to prevent us from becoming overwhelmed with the harsh reality of the world, especially after a spiritual awakening allows us to see the world for what it really is. Before a spiritual awakening, the main set of problems that an individual is faced with is personal, familial, and more localized. After a spiritual awakening, an individual then becomes aware of a much vaster set of worriments. Organizations that were previously viewed as trustworthy suddenly reveal a more sinister underlying intent. This type of awareness can be traumatic and shocking depending on how deeply and quickly the individual engages in the awakening process. The awakening process can be very destructive, as old paradigms are broken down and viewed in a more illusory context. Such concerns are not important to one who places no or little thought upon anything beyond their day-to-day affairs and individual survival. Relatively limited mental fortitude is required to carry on such an existence. However, to the deeply philosophical and awakened mind, the creeping stare of a seemingly insurmountable systemic Goliath, in conjunction with a disproportionately lulled peer group that is willing to smash you for your efforts to alert it of the peril, can become an obstacle worthy of epic literature. Ultimately, the knowledge that we are all connected with the true Source who dwells in realms that surpass logic and even imagination, and that this Source is our ultimate destination no matter what happens, is of paramount importance for maintaining a healthy outlook, especially in the context of the spreading decadence in the world.
