These are some of the achievements of Senator Ibikunle Amosun in 2014...Quoting him during his 2015 budget presentation to OGHA. SPORTS Renovation of Ijebu-Ode and Sagamu stadia and completion of the tartan track renovation at MKO Stadium. My Respone: Is this a worthwhile achievement within the sport sector in a whole year? INFORMATION We will continue to improve our reach with programming over all electronic and print media. We plan to manage the migration of OGTV from the current analogue platform to a fully digital platform. My Response: He made a promise to migrate OGTV to a fully digital station while changing its name from GTV to OGTV in 2011….still in the process three years after? JUDICIARY Our programme for the upgrade of facilities for the Judiciary will see rehabilitation of existing courts as well as construction of new model courts. Our commitments to funding welfare, training and operational expenditure will continue. My Response: I think there is an awkward attachment between Amosun and the word ‘’Model’’…ask him about his model schools and hospitals. How far about them four years down the lane. CULTURE AND TOURISM We also identify the power of tourism as a revenue generating source. In the new year, we will embark on special projects which include: i. Establishment of a Film Village with structures and conducive settings necessary for film production; ii. Construction and Equipping of Ogun State Museum for the preservation of artefacts, antiquities and cultural heritage of Ogun State; iii. Promotion and preservation of various heritage sites in the State as National Monument and World Heritage sites. (Olumo Tourist Centre, Bilikisu Sugbo). My Response: Why did Mr governor refused to initiate these projects as at when he was elected? Why delaying them up to this present moment when he has just few months to pack his loads and baggage? Who is gonna buy into this dummy? SECURITY We will continue to ensure that security operatives are adequately equipped and motivated to ensure effective and reliable security services and further boost their morale for effective performance. Monitoring of major cities across the State (Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode, Sagamu, Ilaro and Ota) as a pilot project with the use of latest security technologies will be extended to other towns within the State. My Response: Do we have such monitoring in existence presently? NO! Why then will you extend it to other cities when none is existing presently… Lie lie governor. No amount of lies can cover up the fact that our state is not safe security wise. Has he forgotten how many people were kidnapped in some months back? What about banks in Ijebu Ode axis that were placed under lock due to incessant robbery attacks? To further enhance the performance of our security operatives, most especially those on special operations such as QRS and OP MESA, 24-Hour Emergency Response Call Centres will be put in place at their base stations to attend to distress calls at any time. We will also continue to train Officers of our Special Squads on the latest crime control technologies available around the world. My Response: Like he has been doing since 2011 abi? We cannot trust a man who has refused to publicly tell us how he spent the billions of naira donated for Security Trust Fund. RURAL AND INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT We intend to carry out the following projects in the year 2015: i. To complete all ongoing road projects. My Response: Look at a man who commissioned just one road expansion project after spending more than three solid years in power. If it takes him almost for years to commission a project, how long will it take him to commission 10? ii. To upgrade access roads in rural areas. These projects will be managed by local contractors and will thereby create jobs and opportunities across the state. My Response: After neglecting the rural dwellers for almost four years at the detriment of Abeokuta road? Haba. Shey mumu ni man yi pe wa ni? Does he think we are fools? Importantly, why is he just remembering the local contractors now? Are these not the same set of people that he refused to award any contract (Not even gravel supply) to just because of some chinko people? Now our local contractors are to handle rural areas with little or no benefit when Mr governor is successfully conniving with the chinkos to execute big road contracts with the potentials for a classic and juicy embezzlement opportunity. iii. The light rail project is designed to link our major cities including, Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode, Sagamu, Ota, Agbara and Ilaro. It is envisaged that this project will ultimately be linked to Lagos. We plan to initiate work on the project within the year. My Response: I can conveniently tell you that Amosun didn’t have such plan as this. This is another pure white lie from our governor. iv. The cable bridge over Ogun River, which links our ten lane boulevard coming from Sapon via Itoku to Lafenwa. The design of this bridge has been approved and the project is awaiting commencement by the contractor. My Response: Which contractor? The one you are currently owing billions of naira? More to come...
