These are the emails between the photographer and me, out of the 253 photos 30 are good. Here is a little back ground, when I met with her an looked at her portfolio her photos were good. I was excited and even more after receiving the engagement photos. Maybe she was having a bad day, but thats a bad day we had to pay for. Maybe she didnt like someone in my wedding, she is a local photographer, I really dont no, I paid her in advance.it is upsetting when you look at the quality of my photos compared to the others she has on her webpage and Facebook page. I am disappointed, these are the final photos of one of the most important days of my life. What I has been listed just speaks of the photos, never mind the unprofessional ism that took place on the wedding day. And the failure to follow through with things that were to take place before the wedding. It was a huge headache, and I am hoping by posting this it will save people the stress in the future, and pick someone else. I have made other photos public on my FB page for people to view To The Moon and Back Photography, located in Middleboro, Ma. I pulled out our contract which can be viewed in the attachments below. There is a problem I would like to address and hopefully we can resolve it. Since this is my third attempt if we can’t resolve it, you leave me no choice but to go forth with legal action. First, I paid $ for the Diamond Wedding Package. As you can see in the attachment, that entitled me to 8 hours of wedding day coverage. Diamond Wedding Package $: - FREE 45 Minute Engagement Session password-protected online photo gallery to download from - Eight hours of wedding day coverage by one photographer taking unlimited photos - Password-protected online photo gallery to download from and share with friend’s family - High resolution photo disc with all of your categorized photos The issue with this is when we communicated on Aug 29th, you said I only had 6 hours of coverage, which I questioned you about. I remember telling you, the first time we met, that I needed more than 6 hours since the venue was 5 1/2 hours long. I believed I had longer but you said you had the contract and assured me that it was only 6 hours. Since it was a stressful time for me and I was very busy, I trusted what you said. All one has left from a wedding besides memories are the photographs. Here is what you took away from us: Preparation pictures: There will be no pictures of me or the bridesmaids getting ready. At the engagement session, you said you had a trainee that you could send to my house to take pictures of the guys getting ready. This was very important to me, and you failed to follow through. What I don’t have and never will, are pictures of my husband and sons getting ready. I held up my obligations by paying you according to your contract terms. You, on the other hand, did not deliver the full services in the contract. Here is how I would like to resolve this issue. I would like you to refund me the difference between the package I paid for (Diamond) and the package you delivered (Ruby). That amount is $200. I further request that you expedite the delivery of my ALL my wedding photographs. I am entitled to see ALL the pictures and choose the ones I want to keep. I know from the video of the wedding that there is indeed more then what you have sent me. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation with this matter. Sincerely, Tia Truelson Her reply As far as the pictures, as a photographer, I maintain the right to not give my clients every picture that I take. There are many duplicates, some blurry, some when people arent looking, and some that I feel should not be shared because they dont meet my personal standards. There is never a number of photographs that are promised because it all depends on the day and how it goes. Your particular wedding didnt have a ton of posed images because people were getting impatient and werent cooperating very well. I did my best with what I had to work with. When I hired my second shooter, she had sent me a portfolio that I have since learned was not her work. It was stolen work from someone else. She also led me to believe that she had a car and could drive to your husbands location, which was the intended plan. The day of she showed up at her house with her mother, and it turns out that she doesnt have a license or a car, so she never intended to drive herself anywhere. She caught me totally off guard. She was incompetent in camera functions and posing and ended up just being a nuisance. I apologize for not holding up my part of the contract. That was never my intention. My packages have changed since we met for your consultation and so my records had recorded 6 hours instead of 8. My reply The pictures you have sent me contradict everything you have said. I have attached a few to prove my point. These are the final pictures you sent me that represent your work as a professional photographer. Pictures my family and friends can view. As you can see there are blurry ones, people not looking, my husband is half cut out, and in a lot of them the back grounds are crooked. Her reply Every picture you just sent is supposed to be that way. Thats the way I shoot. I dont follow straight lines. I do things at angles. You can look through my entire portfolio of every picture Ive ever taken and theyre all like that. Its an artistic quirk. If I had wanted them to be straight, they would have been. I know the rule of thirds, but Ive never adhered to it. And many many photographers have that same style. I hardly ever see photographers who strictly follow the rule of thirds. My reply This is what you are calling an artistic quirk? So you intentionally took these pictures this way? When we viewed your work, we dont see this, an if we did we wouldnt have hired you. Why would we want important pictures of us an our family to be standing in front of a crooked gazebo that looking like its going to fall over? And the blurry one? What is artistic about that one? Her reply NOTHING
