These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6: 6-7 NIV Most of us dont talk too much about the ten commandments do we. When was the last time you were at a dinner party or driving in your car with your family. Did anyone discuss the commandments? Not really something we all get excited about is it. They can be exciting, depending how you look at them. Ask yourself this question; How can I live the way God would have me live and enjoy all of the blessings He has in store for me? Now they become a guide for living, something to get excited about, especially as we try to follow them and begin to enjoy Gods blessings as we have written them on our hearts. We can actually reach the point where we can honestly say we love His law. At one time in my life I did not see the law as I do now. A lot of it had to do with my perception of God who gave the commandments to us. Something changed as I began to see God as loving and wants whats best for me. So loving that He sent His Son to pay the price for all of my sins because I cant seem to keep all of those commands perfectly. Today I love His law; desiring to keep His commands out of gratitude for all He has done for me. His law is no longer burdensome. All of Gods promises are true!
