These last few days I’ve spent many wakeful nights trembling thinking of the task I now begin—that of eulogizing my own precious child. How does one do this? How do you sum up the sublime devotion, the exquisite innocence, or the tender affections and pangs of sorrow, in short how do you sum up a person’s life in a mere speech of words bedewed with the tears of paternal affection? You don’t.
