These were pure white porcelain bisque pieces I made from my mold of a real seahorse. I did not paint them. I fired them again with bronze metal clay in some places. I added a natural ingredient of vinegar and salt which pulled out the green color from the copper in the bronze. I buffed them slightly with red rouge that gave it some background color. I wont call it a patina ..but I certainly did try to mimic one as in faux, tromp loi, fool the eye, technique. Next time Ill use paint out of a jar Nova and Melissa.
