“ These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7 Praise: 1. We are thankful to be starting our next units of language study. I am in with 2 other guys from China, so even on break I am using Indonesian since this is our only common language. :) It has been a blessing to study with these 2 and hear some of their testimony. 2. We had our first parent/teacher conference. We are so proud of the kids and for their adjustment not only to a new culture, new language, but going to school and being the “new kids”. 3. We are thankful to have seen some signs of rain, but please pray rain would come soon. It has been 4 dry months. 4. We are thankful for the English club we are involved in. We meet each Saturday to help strengthen their English and it is so helpful for our Indonesian. It also helps us build deeper relationships. Prayer: 1. Continue to pray as we navigate these roads on our scooters. 2. Pray that what we are learning in class, that we will have time to put it into practice. Trying to juggle, language learning, building relationships, kids, marriage and everyday life can feel overwhelming at times. 3. Thanks for praying for us as we slowly put together things we will eventually need for our home in Papua. Materials, building, appliances, etc., are all less expensive here in Salatiga, so we will be sharing a container with another MAF couple to send over what we need for our home. Thanks for continued prayer for wisdom. 4. Please pray for us as we raise our children. We are blessed to be here, but our first mission field is our kids. Pray we would be godly examples for them and that God would continue to work in their lives and we would see the fruit of the Spirit in their lives. Thanks so much for your vital part in this journey we take together to learn this language and to be lights to those around us. He continues to be Faithful and True, Debbie for the Team :)
