They are called The Great Forgotten. Please watch this video, for Sara. You dont need to read Spanish to understand. There isnt any gore and you wont see any dead dogs, just a lot of sad faces. 57 podencos and 2 galgos rescued one year ago from this place. Look at the eyes; burn in your memory the foot-long chains and the concrete; count the number of dogs living in the same small shed; then look at the dogs again as you see them recovered and living the way a pet should live. When I see things like this I am in awe of dogs like my Sara, who can put the past behind them and learn to love and trust with all their heart. Every rescue in Spain, no matter how small or how large, deserves our respect and support for the work they do. I dont know how they face things like this, and much worse, on a daily basis.
