They get some random a&r dude and they say he did these things for these one hit wonders and that is supposed to entice you to give them hundreds of dollars 1. Most artist never pay people to get a shot They just end up there through hard work (shows and merch) 2.after I spend that money to meet this "important" a&r guy you get the shot but ultimately that persons makes the decision You gonna spend hundreds just to perform in front of some a&r dude where you respect him only because Of who he worked 3 or use that money you would give those jackasses to promote yourself and do local shows which is cheaper
