They left a lot of brothers out (Everlast from House of Pain is one of the first who comes to mind), and included several 5 percenters, who are not Muslim and are far from practicing Islam as Ramadan approaches (however important they are to the core history of Hip Hop, and however much I respect their talent and do not condemn their own philosophical/religious identity but mention this only to clarify--you should know the differences in belief between, say, a caste Brahmin Hindu and a Theravada Buddhist), but still a good list.
