You may not be aware of the Houston treasure we have in the President of the Greater Houston Partnership. He is Bob Harvey. Whereas in the past the Partnership seemed to focus on satisfying the needs of primarily downtown large businesses Bob is focusing on developing the growth of ALL businesses in the Greater Houston area. Being a graduate of Harvard and working 17 years with the blue chip management consulting firm McKinsey and Co. his strong background is beyond question. And from my humble perspective he has the personal qualities of what should be required of all public officials: good values, good judgment on the issues and good decision making skill. He undoubtedly has good judgment on issues facing him each day and will use his honed decision making skill in dealing with them. And as a long time fellow member of Memorial Lutheran Church on Bering here in Houston where he is Treasurer of the church I can personally attest that there is no question about his values. In short this modest man has it all. Houston will benefit greatly.
