They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, - TopicsExpress

They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too. Romans 1:31-32 (NLT) Romans chapter 1 has just given us a description of a society totally rebelling against God. Much as the Romans were a rebellious society much of the world is now engulfed with their rebelliousness. The deep irrational nature of sin is seen in the fact that even the hardened sinners still know in their hearts that their actions are deserving of death. Nevertheless, they go on sinning and even drag others with them when they approved of those who do the same thing. How are people aware of God’s death penalty? Human beings created in God’s image have a basic moral nature and a conscience. The truth is understood beyond religious circles. Psychologists, for example, say that the rare person who has no conscience has a serious personality disorder that is extremely difficult to treat. Most people instinctively know when they are doing wrong, but they seem not to care. Some people will even risk an early death for the freedom to indulge in their desires now. Their attitude seems to be, “I know it is dangerous, but it is worth the risk.” For such people, part of the “fun” is going against God’s law, the community’s moral standards, common sense, or their own sense of right and wrong. Yet, deep down inside they know that sin deserves the punishment of death. Romans 6:23: “ For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” “Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.” I wonder if there are churches that are encouraging people to continue in their reprobate ways by telling them it is a disease or gene disorder so do not fight it. As Christians we cannot in anyway encourage people to carry on in their abominations to God. When a person claims to be a Christian they should repent and cease living in their sinful lifestyle. We should not encourage the lifestyles mention in Romans 1 in any manner. We are to proclaim the Gospel at all cost. Sin is still sin when a government accepts it and persecutes those who still call it sin. Pray for revival in the land!
