They say--Write what you know--....well thats all Ive ever tried to do. I still dont know myself--but this is my THING...this is my DIARY...this is MY best friend; my RELEASE. I write a song. I dont do it for money or praise--I put it out for judgement--but to the core I make music in hopes that it could help anyone--including myself. When I started making this album someone told me to try to write a song that isnt about myself,,,well thats the dumbest advice ive ever been given. Im not living another life but my own. So in my own asshole way--I wrote this song. I used all the things im silently dealing with in my life--death, breakups, abuse, cancer,being the other woman---and inserted some of my best friends names instead of my own in the song so it wasnt another song about me---except that it is. So heres another song about me masked as a song about a lot of my best friends. I dont want to be known as a girl who everyone feels sorry for. because the one thing I realized through ALL the sad stuff thats happened and will happened---I survived. WE survive. This song isnt going on my album so I thought id give it away for yall! I did this with the AMAZING Jason Weiss--who was so much fun to work with and I could literally talk to him for hours..he cares about MUSIC first which is hard to find these days.
