They say those who cant do, teach. That statement is up for debate but what is totally true is that at this point with my crazy arm/neck situation, I cant write much. So Ive decided to teach. Dubai/Sharjah folks: Im planning on running some fun and interesting math workshops for the 7 - 9 year old age group starting perhaps from next week or so. Just for the month of Jan/Feb. Think after-school fun with numbers club type thing. Lots of games, activities and of course story books that bring math to life. Why math you may ask? Because I feel like it. Because I have a shelf full of awesome math curriculum material that I am itching to put to use. Because math is and should be fun-damental. Because during my summer camp, I noticed some seriously surprising gaps in basic math knowledge in otherwise bright kids which I had vowed to help fix. And because, well, by now you shouldve figured out that most of my projects are driven by Beta. He really is the muse behind this whole DM thing, honestly.
