They say with Alzheimers victims you say goodbye to your loved ones twice. Once when you initially loose them to the disease, and again when they die. I can tell you from experience, it is many more times than that. Every time there is a glimmer of recognition in their eyes, you heart is sent reeling again, and again, and again. But today, I finally said my final goodbye to my mother, Millie. Im happy now to think of her dancing with my father in heaven to their favourite song, Spanish Eyes. Heres a montage of my beautiful Mom. PS: A personal note: Please do not make donations on behalf of my mother to the Alzheimers Society. I dont want to support the drug companies responsible for destroying my mothers mind. Throughout her life, she struggled with nervousness that was met with small mindedness and a quick hand to deal a drug, which in turn, lead to her golden years being spent as a mindless zombie, robbed of even the recognition of her family members. Instead, Id love it If you want to honour my mother, by signing a petition to shut down companies like Monsanto, helping to stop them from actively poisoning our universe for profit with their mind-damaging GMOs, and chemicals that destroy our water, earth and air. Im convinced, the key to ending Alzheimers lies in the cessation of these destructive practises, not pharmaceutical research.Thanks.
