They should re-release Edge of Tomorrow with a new marketing campaign that actually admits how shitty the marketing department effed up the release. Dear Everyone, We tried to trick you into seeing this film because we dont know how to market movies that blend genres. But this is actually a novel, interesting film, with terrific action, tons of good and great story. Also we totally misrepresented Tom Cruises role, its not Oblivion Tom, in fact its a Tom you havent seen in a while. He is playing a reluctant action hero, a role he handles with deftness and humor (not to mention Emily Blunt who kicks all sorts of ass). Our bad, we f***ed up, but we dont want you to miss this cinematic experience because we were too chicken shit to market the movie we HAD and instead marketed the movie we ASSUMED you wanted. Forgive our lack of creativity and pandering. Sincerely, The Edge of Tomorrow Marketing Team. P.S. Oh and were going to go with the original chancier title All You Need is Kill instead of the safe, diluted, meaningless title Edge of Tomorrow which we stole from a Saved by the Bell: The College Years opening title sequence lyric. We all make fear based choices in life, and were owning up to ours! Hope you enjoy the film! I would respect the hell out of that.
