Worship. A powerful word. The bible says we were created for worship. But lets unpack this word worship. The Collins English dictionary says it means to be devoted to and full of admiration. Wikipedia refers to Worship is an act of religious devotion usually directed towards a deity. The bible says in Romans 12:1 to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service. This means we worship God with our bodies. Our hands and feet were created for worship.Then Hebrews 13:15 tells us to offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Our lips also were created for worship. We are to worship God with our whole being. We were created to be instruments of worship. So how do we worship? John 14:15 says that “ If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. In the same way you can say you love a woman, yet you abuse her, neglect her, cheat on her. You See worship is the highest type of love. And we also know that LOVE is a verb. Its a doing word. Its not just paying lip service. A lot of people like to verbalize how they love other people. But when someone loves you, you just know it. My question is do you know that God loves you this morning? And are you sure you love him?
