Things are starting to settle down again. After 6 weeks of driving back and forth every few days to Lake Wales, we had the service for my mom, then it was off to DC to see my son, daughter in law and their two adorable little girls. Pamela was also there working, but was able to get some time off. I went with Susan and we stayed at the Hilton together. She hung out with her Vietnam friends while I zoomed around to spend time with my family and college roommate who lives there. We got to several restaurants that were great, went white water rafting, to the Great Falls for a picnic, shopping and laughed a lot at the little ones in the play room downstairs. It was just what I needed after a difficult month. Dad is doing well and is back to his golf game with his buddies. He lives in a friendly community and has a loving church family too. We will all miss mom, but her spirit lives on with us.
