Think Im going to skip out on the early morning hunt and head out about 10-11 and stay til dark. I got a Whitetail Institute clover patch to watch and a lot of activity all afternoon. No shooter bucks but A LOT of does. A lot of does this time of year means the bucks arent too far away. Morning hunts almost never work out for me for some reason. A majority of my bow kills have been in the afternoon. Not sure why. Whats everybody like, mornings or afternoons? My area is really hard to get into without every deer around knowing. Due to the actual woods being rather small, if you park on the side of the road in the dark every deer around knows youre there. My buddy has an access road to his property but its the same deal. These deer arent dumb. Rifle season I dont have this problem because I hunt in the middle of hundreds of acres of brushy fields/hedgerows. I can see 400-500 yds in all directions. I almost never shoot a deer under 200 yds. Kinda like it :) I have to put this out there. If I get a hint of a deer/animal being jacked or if I get a hint of an animal shot in a fenced preserve, I will not post it, allow it to be posted, and you will be banned from the group. Theres nothing that represents the spirit of the outdoorsmen by shooting a fenced in animal, or breaking the law to harvest it. I HATE JACKERS! Any and all of my hunts are #1 on property that I belong on and #2 1000% legal. I break no environmental laws, and honestly, if you do, plain and simple youre a scumbag. Sorry for the language. I get my information for legit sources. They arent rumors. I dont go by what he said/she said. I go by people that know (if you know what I mean). Take pride in hunting an animal the right way. Take pride in the outdoors..........Eric
