Think not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country: John F Kennedy. based on this JFK Quotes,I have some small questions concerning our present challenges as a people and am hoping someone will answer them in details please: 1: Boko Haram(BH) recruits young able bodied men almost everyday based on the believe in their ideology, what has the local clerical class done to counter this? 2: this BH youths have parents, relatives, friends and grew up in a community what are the family members, friends and community leaders, you reading this falls into this category. what have you done to let the next guy sitting next to you know that BH is demonic? 3: I heard a Northern leader say once that BH came about as a result of years of neglect of the region, illiteracy and poverty, so what have they the Northern leaders done over the years to curb illiteracy and poverty? 4: its less than a month to elections, and almost 70% of eligible voters and youths are not on Facebook or know about the nonviolence pact the candidates signed, what have you done to educate the people around you on Non violence? remember when the red line is crossed it will be me,you, your wife or husband, brother or sister, relatives or closed friends facing the wrath... the guys campaigning for our votes are too defended to fall victims... Barack Obama once said a good leader can never solve all its citizens problems but should be able to provide the atmosphere and resources to help them solve their problems 5: based on what Obama said, with all the troops deployed to our troubled spot and even a division of the Army created their by the government, what has the local population and leaders done to assist the Army in fighting this insurgency? our fingers are always itchy and ready to post bad news and criticize the government, we forget to pause and think that the Paris march that was witnessed just last week started from one persons hashtag, the Arab spring started from one dissatisfied young man, the fight to abolish slave trade started with a man, one woman stopped the killing of twins an old aged custom of calabar... I can go on and on... sorry to break your hearts but truth be told neither GEJ or GMB can bring the change we need, it begins with you... Dare if you really believe in change, try to be different, dispose your waste properly, help that child to cross the road, tell your boss you cant change the figures in the waybill, even if it will cost u your job, report early to work and report anything suspicious in your community.... if no action is taken, peacefully take to the street... we all shout corruption but do we really scrutinize the guys we send to represent us in Abuja? America is great today not because they have great leaders but the citizens put pressures on their leaders to be great and it worked for them.... Keep campaigning for your candidate but always remember to do something no matter how little for your country everyday... its the small honest steps that really leads to change..... CHANGE? IT BEINS WITH YOU! pass this on if you believe in the real change...@odinta...
