Discounts are part of our job, but they cant exceed a certain %, unless a shop doesnt want to have a product in its range anymore. We all need to have a marge. So, what do you think you are drinking when you buy a bottle under €8 IN A SHOP? Of course in continental Europe, taxes are lower, but the smaller is your wine dealer the bigger are logistics costs. Now, as customers this is your time to choose. Do you want a bottle whose liquid content is only €0,50 worth or do you expect something more? Remember that here your health is concerned too, its not just a question of taste. How can a dealer offer to you an healthy wine only with a €0,50 value per 0,75cl bottle? Less than petrol?
