Thinking about all those who got hit with the hail. Please make sure that you do your research regarding these storm chasing companys. They are very good at there sales process, and can be very pushy to get YOU to sign there contract for their services. These companies dont plan on being here in town for very long. Some of them are hiring locals, using there vehicles to travel the town so it appears they are from the area. I have heard that some are even changing there license plates to Montana plates, getting state contractors licenses in MT, and renting temporary shops to make it appear they are local. The fact is they may be somewhere else chasing the next storm when you need warrranty work done. Dont be fooled into a slick sales ploy. Do your homework. 1. Ask these storm chasers for copies of there Workers Comp Certificate 2. Ask them for a copy of there commercial liability insurance certificate. 3. Ask them for there Montana state Contractors License. 4. Check your local phone book listings for there ad. Most times they cannot get there ad placed in the local phone book quick enough. If they dont have an ad, odds are they are not from around this area. 5. Google search there company name on the internet. You may find comments, reviews and other items that can help you make a decision. 6. Ask them for local references and call them. In most cases our customers want to help our team and will gladly take a call to refer our work. So call them and ask them how they did. 7. Make sure you know what products they are using, and they are the same products you committed to. Its really hard to know what they did on your roof after the fact. Its to hard to tell from ground level. So ask questions and have the providor show you what they are installing before they install it. 8. Check them out at the local Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, local Home Builders Association, and even Angies List. Not all providors may have those affiliations but those are good ways to check them out. 9. Go with your gut intinct. If it sounds to good to be true. Most times it is. Use good judgement and protect your interests. Dont sign there contract right away. Make them come back after you have had a chance to measure your thoughts and research there company. Ask your friends and neighbors for advice on who to use. I would tell you that in most cases your roof wont leak and you have several months if not years of life left on your roofing materials before you need to change the roofing. Get on your local providors waiting list to estimate and finish the work. Emergency items such as brokens windows and roofs that are leaking need immediate attention. I hope that helps.. Call us for questions or even references to local providors. 406-534-0018
