Thinking about an ex of mine... I realised that our relationship was not going to work the day we went out to Tashas restaurant in Rosebank and he was unnecessarily rude to a waiter there. We continued to be together for months after that, but something about that incident left an imprint in my mind. I could never erase it no matter how hard I tried. You see, I have a strong belief that to glimpse into a persons true character, you must be very attentive to how they treat those who work for them and those who serve them. No matter how good a man is to you, a man who doesnt treat people he regards as below him well is not a good man. The same is true for a woman who behaves like a diva when engaging her helper or people serving her. Its okay to be firm when youre getting bad service. But its another issue altogether to be rude and callous in how you treat people. Those: What the hell is this on my plate? Did I order this? You people are lazy and you dont listen! I am paying to have a decent meal and I get nonsense! Call the manager NOW!!! kind of women, who think its okay to treat waiters like dogs; those women who over-work their helpers, who sit like divas on the couch busy on iPads as their infants cry, and call their exhausted helper (who is resting) to change the babys nappy...be careful of those characters even if they are nice to you. A person who is nice to you and not nice to others, especially others who are below them, is not a nice person!
