Thinking back on Coreys life I cant help but think of one of my favorite quotes ever, by Dr Seuss dont cry because its over, smile because it happened. That quote epitomized my thoughts about Corey. I was so lucky to have spent as much time with him as I did, and to get to know such a great person. He did so much in such little time, Theres nothing else to be, but proud of him. He set an example for all of us. I met so many people who I now consider my close friends, who I would have never come to know without Cor. Its not to often I am proud of my nickname Whalrus, but this week I stand proud knowing who gave me that name. That person was Gorey Criffin, there arent enough pictures and stories that could sum up who Corey was as a friend. We spent his 21st birthday night at Maryannes somehow just the 2 of us, and I think we got drunk to the point where he tried to take me home. So many memories, the days in Scituate, having to convince his mom to let me come over, country concerts, late night dance parties, and letting me being the only non-hockey player invited to parties. We started the Hingham Junior Beer club one night at Stars, and I dont think we ever got anyone else to join.
