Thinking of PM Modijis clean India campaign: I noticed that there are no dustbins what so ever anywhere in the Indian cities that visited, not even at the pilgrimage centres. When ever I buy a chocolate or anything with a wrapper, I desperately search to find a dustbin a trash can where I can dump the waste wrap, but I cant find any... Therefore I had to put the waste in my pocket and reach home to use the trash can at home. Many people do not have that kind of patience, they just drop the waste where ever they can... I came to know another surprising fact - it seems in Guntur municipality people collect extra money as bribe to collect waste from the apartments. If anyone say anything against them then they dump the waste right in front of the apartment and go away. Every month they collect this extra cash... Everywhere the Municipality systems need a overhaul it includes (a) providing dustbins / trash cans everywhere (b) Overhaul the lethargy in the Human resources in the municipality departments (c) Introduce the concept of waste recycling... It is not going to be easy....
