Thinking of my dad - will visit him a bit later today, but miss him every day. He was a good man who was brilliant, really a genius, but in many ways trapped by a the red tape and machinations of modern life. I think if he could have been left alone to invent in his own time and space, he would have been really really happy. Most people could see two or three steps ahead, my dad could see twenty - except for those things that were right in front of him. Imagine Sheldon Cooper with a crew cut, better sense of humor and social skills (and a good dose of testosterone), with a hint of innocence and wonder, and that was my dad. Alex Alexander, A gun loving, NASCAR watching, Beethoven listening, scotch drinking, folk song singing, banjo playing, nuclear physicist who loved his kids and wife. A walking contradiction who taught me that it was OK to agree to disagree, but try, if you can, to never be disagreeable. Miss You Dad.
