Thinking on and praying for those caught in the Philippines destruction. Most of us cant imagine standing in long lines with our children waiting to receive a drink of water or some food, already sick from drinking the only dirty water we could find yesterday. Imagine seeing all the transport planes landing at the airport and yet there is no food or water available to for all those who are in line. We arent even talking about those who experience this every day in 3rd world countries, we are talking about our fellow brothers and sisters who had homes and jobs and sent their children to school. So what can we do besides contribute financially to organizations who are supporting them? We can pray for some specifics, for organization to take hold so that the provisions there can be distributed without road blocks. We can pray for patience and for God to surround them with His peace and provision. We can pray that regulations can be suspended or amended so aid is not held up. We can pray for those brave souls who are going in to help will be given extra strength and patience and be a light to those they serve. We can pray for safety and provision for those who go there to help. And for the public officials, and medical personnel and all Christians to move forward in service to their country with love and good sense and peace that only come from God.......
