Third Key to The Four-Gospel Journey - We have become quite accustomed when reading a letter from Paul - to ask about the community and the issues Paul references in the community. Quadratos offers the view that the gospel text is the very same. Each of these four were written to communities at the moment the community was in distress - perhaps even trauma. The Gospel opens the Risen Christ in their midst addressing their present moment dilemma. Certainly the text brings forward historical reality but NOT as history or transcript. The text is a living reality of The Christ teaching The Way to Christians in the second half of the First Century. And guess what - the question each text addresses - is a core question in our lives today. Each text is a practical and eternal truth of one of the four paths of The Way. Matthew - first path/change.
