Thirty one years ago today I delivered the most beautiful 8lb. 6oz. baby girl. She had big, inquiring brown eyes and a full head of dark hair. As she grew her hair became thicker, wavy and blonde with tons of eyelashes encompassing those huge eyes. Everyone was in awe of her features. But more importantly was how she could light up a room with her humor, intelligence and ease. She had a passion to read, cook and explore. Nothing stopped her adventure and zest for life except cancer. She fought this battle with dignity, grace and an unyielding hope to live. I think of you each day my dear daughter. I know you are now out of pain but cannot come to terms with a young, honorable lady having gotten cancer at 28. I may never understand this until we meet again. Enjoy your birthday in heaven with your cherished dad and caring Aunt Syndie. You are forever in my heart.
