This Adobe house site, located in the north end of Moreno Valley near the north end of Perris Blvd. , is in DANGER !!! It can be dated as existing there at least as far back as 1853 according to a Govt land survey map from that time period, making it one of the very first structures ever built in the Moreno Valley area. There are plans in the works to build 118 houses just to the south of it. This new housing project is scheduled to be discussed on April 24, 2014 @ 7pm at the City Planning Commission meeting. Something needs to be done to have it declared a city historic landmark, making it off-limits to any possible future land developments. It is the additional 138.87 acres of open space that contain the adobe ruins. THEY ARE IN DANGER !!! The city website lists the parcel (# 474490024) general land use as being open space/park. It NEEDS to be made a park, not planned unit development. Notice how the word PARK has been left out of all of the public notices.
