This FB Group is an attempt to unite all kind and willing people in order to provide financial assistance to Yam Bahadur Pariyar and his sisters so that they continue their education unabated. I understand that there are many willing people who want nothing but to help them. But they are unsure how they could effect this without getting into managerial bureaucracy. I spent a whole day contemplating on this, and seeking out advice on this from my friends in Nepal. At the end, I decided to open this Group to unite us all for this cause. My aim is to provide them a monthly subsistence through a controlled and trustworthy organisation. I am trying to achieve NRS 20,000 a month to begin with. The financial subsistence will be performance based. It will continue as long as they continue their education up to Bachelors level. Any drop out from educational institution will affect the amount of the subsistence they receive. The details will be ironed out in due course, which will be broadly based on Kantipur Corporations charitable grant (incentive based). I will be assisted by Veteran Journalist Aswini Koirala from Kantipur in Kathmandu and Journalist Arjun Khatiwada from Makalu Television in Biratnagar. Once we reach the minimum threshold of GB£125 or US$190, we will make our first contribution. All transactions will remain transparent and a 6 monthly financial report will be uploaded on this Group for your perusal.
