This January, I have an amazing opportunity to take what I have been learning and apply it to the mission’s field. The trip will be from January 6th to the 12th. Along with a professor from my school and other nursing students from Nyack College and others, I am going to be going on a trip to Haiti to provide free primary medical care to communities who are in need. We will be going with the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing along with an organization called the Foundation for Peace. We will be partnered alongside registered nurses and nurse practitioners to provide care that is needed in the communities and also to supply healthcare items to families who have limited access to healthcare. I am very excited to have this opportunity to put what I have been learning in school into effect to help those in need. By going down to volunteer, we have the great opportunity to heal people as well as the opportunity to demonstrate love and compassion to these people. This also brings a great opportunity to minister to these people. I am excited for the chance to and help out and share God’s love. I am trying to raise money for this trip by as it costs $1,260. I hope to have my fundraising completed by December 1st. Along with the cost for the trip I also am required to bring 35 kits which include basic healthcare items, such as soap, tooth paste, band aids and vitamins and aspirin. These supplies will be distributed to families who need them. I also ask for your support in prayer that the trip goes well and that we are able to reach out to others. Thanks for your support!
