This Saturday, with luck, Cyberia Radio Club, W9CRC will be refurbing Gregs (N9MOX) satellite antenna array (144, 430 MHz) and building some new satellite antennas (915, 1296, 2400 MHz) from scratch. Ive ordered a bunch of aluminum and hardware. A shiny new Kenwood TS-2000 is on order thanks to Ken (N9MVF). Hopefully we will be able to install the satellite array outside in a few weeks and provide a nice station for the growing number of ham radio operators who are members of Club Cyberia! Our station will initially consist of a Kenwood TS-2000, RXTX Ensemble SDR, Az-El satellite rotor for tracking, and a circular polarized satellite antenna array. We may also install a Discone for local communications and hopefully figure out where to place a wire for HF. The systems will be integrated through a dual monitor PC using Ham Radio Deluxe and HDSDR. Here is a nifty video of exactly the same setup we will be using.
