This Sunday, December 14th, we’re having a celebration. We called it a “FUNRAISER”. We’re giving thanks to all of the shelter animals that have touched our lives, and remembering those we were unable to save. The latter has inspired the best little rescue group on the planet, Misfit, to do more than just pull “LAST CHANCE” dogs no one else wanted, and find them a loving home. They’re now invested in impacting the lives of central Florida animals for years to come through opening Lake County’s first non-profit spay & neuter clinic. Altering an average of 30 animals per day at minimal cost will drastically reduce the number of homeless and unwanted pets in our community, resulting in less entering our shelter system, thus fewer needless deaths of our companion animals. The residual effect will also be seen in saving the taxpayers money in housing, feeding, and caring for animals being kept in our county animal control facility. Less entering = less money spent. Help Misfit help our animals. Come to our celebration of animal rescue and the new beginning of saving more helpless animals through reducing the number of unwanted by spay & neutering.
