This Valentines Day we are thinking about our brother, Street Poet Ryan Madden, who has been locked up for FAR TOO LONG (8+ years of a 15-year sentence) for crimes of which he is COMPLETELY INNOCENT. His family cannot afford a good appeal lawyer because they wiped out their savings on bad lawyers (who should be disbarred for their incompetence) the first time around. If you think this cant happen to you, think again: He is a middle-class white kid from Malibu. Makes one wonder how many other innocent inmates there are behind bars in the State of California ... The only possible bright side I can see here is that Ryan is going to be an incredible spokesperson and advocate for change in our justice system when he comes out the other side of this hellish experience. When you have a recent written confession from the actual perpetrator, ATM video that shows that actual perpetrator (not Ryan) committing the crime, and proof via phone records that he was somewhere else at the time, it should not be that hard to get an innocent man out of prison! innocentinmate/
