This Wednesday I posted a lengthy message about Senate bill S. 1035 bit.ly/1laf4VA which will legalize the use of Cannabidiol for use in treatment of severe epilepsy. Heres a link from a news report on it bit.ly/1lrq7wr that summarizes it. I wanted to let people know that if you are interested in this at all that you can call your local and state representatives to let them know how you feel. Go to scstatehouse.gov/legislatorssearch.php and type in your address and you will get a list of their names. Click on the name and you should be directed to their address and contact numbers. I have spent the last decade researching the use of Cannabidiol (CDB), Cannabinol (CBN), and other Cannabinoids, as well as other Ancient Medicines or as some say Eastern Medicine, in the treatment of various illnesses. I devoted my college career to gaining admittance into Med School. I found a group at USC that was doing similar research. The USC School of Medicine has a Complementary Alternative Medicine Center (CAM Center) that has a husband and wife, Dr. Patel and Dr. Patel, that were studying Cannabinoids. I applied to the program which is a PhD/Scientist program. I didnt get in. They only accept FOUR students per cycle. That means that only 4 students are allowed in every other year. My advisor told I had no chance being a WHITE MALE from South Carolina. That kinda stung a bit. Sure enough not one of the students they accepted were white or from anywhere nearby. I then took it upon myself to continue my pursuit. I dreamed of one day being able to use my Skills to GROW MEDICINE and perform extractions in MY OWN LAB. I knew that one day it would be possible and that I would be able to heal people. That has always been my purpose-to heal people. I have believed that in my heart of hearts all my life. I have struggled with my conscious praying to G-d for guidance that I dont seek a vain purpose. And with this bill I felt like it was just outside my door. It may be another 10 years but I have patience and I know that one day, G-d willing, I will grow medicine and heal sick children and people in need that cant help themselves. One a side note, Cannabidiol and THC have a boiling point difference of at least 35° which means they can be easily separated by distillation.
