At 5 PM, Steel Groovin a local, four-piece steel drum band performs Calypso, Latin, pop, and rock styles along with some traditional music of the Caribbean on the Downtown Mall. Then at 8 PM head over to Canal Place for what is sure to be a fantastic show when Southern Drawl Band from Knoxville, TN takes the stage. “I would describe our sound is as if the Allman Brothers, Alabama and Jimmy Buffett had a baby, it would look a lot like us and Zac Brown,” Nash said. “We’re mainly a country band but adapt well to other styles with reggae and a southern rock feel, says Mike Nash, the lead singer.
