Thank you for your support! A Demand For Action’s First Demonstration in Czech Republic. One of the consequences of founder Nuri Kino’s speech in the European Parliament on the 15th October is that the Czech Christian Democratic Party (KDU-ČSL), together with authorities from charity and church organizations, decided to arrange a demonstration in Prague under the banner of A Demand For Action (ADFA). Vaclav Pláteník, spokesperson for KDU-ČSL: ”We, the Christian-Democratic Party, decided to organize this event to raise awareness about the current situation in Syria and Iraq. The media here in our country does not cover the situation properly and people are weakly informed. We gathered at the Wenceslas Square, the most famous and biggest public place in the Czech Republic. We played a video that we found on the Internet – the real picture of beheadings and torture, pictures that would never be aired on TV.” The Vice-Chairman of the government, the President of the Christian Democratic Party, the Minister of Culture, the Secretary General of Czech Charity, the Secretary General of the Czech Bishop Conference, and the CEO of People in Need were among those present at the demonstration. #DemandForAction
