SDMBA takes this time to thank Carlos Orosco and Sunstate Equipment for taking time away from his family during his vacation to assist SDMBA, EDI, USFWS & most important the kids and families living near Anza Elementary School. The community around Anza school was found to be the most park deficient community in El Cajon. SDMBA is a partner in a project to turn an unutilized area of Anza school into a multi-habitat garden/park. Carlos, in less than 5 hours, turned over 8,000 sq. ft. of nothing into 10 planting areas. Watching him operate the backhoe donated by Sunstate Equipment was like watching an artist take a blank canvas and creating a masterpiece! How does this project promote mountain biking you may ask? Working with our close partners EDI (Crestridge) and USFWS (Sweetwater) on projects like this one strengthens our partnership and benefits all SD County mountain bikers.
