Rare “Let It Be” released on May 8,1970, with inside cover. Since United Artists distributed the Let It Be motion picture, United Artists Records (not Capitol) had the initial rights to distribute the album in the U.S. However, the Capitol Records pressing plants in Jacksonville, Scranton and Winchester were hired to press the album for United Artists Records. First edition Scranton label of “Let It Be” with public domain credit on “Maggie Mae”. Later pressings credit the song arrangement to the band. Scranton pressing has two IAM symbols on side 1. Also, notice the Bell Sound logo and mastering engineer Sam Feldman’s “F” initial (buried behind one of the IAM stamps). Feldman also etched “Phil + Ronnie” to the inner grooves in reference to producer Phil Spector and his wife Ronnie.
