This afternoon I was serving someone at one end of the deli, when the scale ran out of tickets. We had no tickets left and were using bakery tickets, so Mitch went to the bakery to get a roll while I kept serving. I moved down to the next scale. I moved to a second customer, and when I went to price up their stuff, the scale I was using ran out of tickets. Mitch was just back with another roll. I said OH my god, Im so sorry, you might have to go get another roll. I continued down the line to the next scale and finished their stuff there. I served a third customer, but when I went to print out a ticket on the third scale, it ran out of tickets. The third scale in a row. Mitch heard the noise of the tickets running out and was like Did that just run out of tickets? and I was like yes but breathless because I was tired and it was so sad and so funny I went straight to silent laughing while my customer just looked at me, nonplussed. We used bakerys last three rolls of tickets so I hope they dont need any extra tomorrow...
