This afternoon at 5:00 pm, Lucia Maldonado hosted a community meeting she arranged between about 30 immigrant Latinos from Ivanhoe Trailer Park and local law enforcement officials. Sheriff Dan Walsh, Lt. Brian Menenga, Deputy Bill Olliger and Chief Patrick Connolly of Urbana PD were in attendance, with Sergeant Adam Chacón of UPD helping out as an interpreter. A lot of issues were brought forth and a Neighborhood Watch meeting has been planned in the future. The group was receptive and asked rons of questions! Very encouraging!
